Our NEW car
We bought our first NEW car today! We bought a 2008 Saturn Vue! This took most of the day as the paperwork alone takes hours, but it is now ours (and the bank's, of course). Isn't it pretty? Since Ray's dad works for GM, we got the employee pricing and we also got a rebate, so we did pretty good on the price. We traded in the Lumina...which served us very well, but was a 1995 and definitely getting the worry point of repair issues. We didn't want to have to put more into the car than it was worth (which wasn't much!).

Is this a hybrid Vue? Even if it is not, how does it feel when you are on the road...is the drive smooth?
No, we didn't buy a hybrid because you only improve gas mileage for city driving and I don't drive that much, but we plan to use for our long haul trips that that there are three of us and this was better fuel economy for that use. We are considering a hybrid for our next car (two years or so) which my husband would use to get to work.
And the drive is really nice - we got a V6, not a 4, for some more power on the freeway...not that I will notice, but my husband did when we test drove the two different engines.
